Editorial Policy and Sources

Official SA20 material comes first. Published fixture announcements come second. Anything that cannot be traced to one of those is left out, not softened.

Sourcing hierarchy

  1. Official SA20 fixtures page.
  2. Published Season 5 fixture announcements that agree with each other (Club Cricket, Cricket Times, CricTracker).
  3. ESPNcricinfo season preview for the window, the opener and the playoff grounds.

At the 3 November 2026 check the official fixtures page still showed the completed 2026 season, so the 2027 list could not be copied from it directly. The list here was built from the July 2026 announcement coverage above, and every row was checked against two of those sources.

Verification steps

Each fixture row carries a match number, a date, a start time in SAST, a ground, and a last-verified date. The build fails if a row is missing a field, if a team plays twice in one day, if a ground or team id is unknown, or if a date falls outside 17 January to 21 February 2027.

How AI is used

AI assists drafting. Every fact is human-verified against official sources before it is published. No fact, quote, author credential or statistic is published from an AI draft alone.

Update frequency

Pre-season, the official fixtures page is re-checked weekly. On match days, results and the table are updated after the official result. Fixture changes are recorded on the corrections page.
